From the age of two, Jenn Schaefer grew up training in all styles of dance and has never stopped.  Her philosophy is simple: “work hard. be kind.”, and she’s proud her students have had great success on and off the competitive stage.  Jenn is a Eureka, Missouri resident and has been an elementary school teacher in the Lindbergh School District for over 18 years.  A born leader, in 2011 she was the youngest person ever to receive the district’s prestigious honor of “Lindbergh Leader”.  She has also served as the Varsity Cheerleading coach at Lindbergh and is currently the Head Coach of the Dance Team at Ursuline Academy.

Jenn started her career teaching dance as an assistant to studio instructors when she was 13 years old, and ever since she’s been building her experience and reputation as a top freelance dance instructor.  Since 1995 she has taught dance at numerous studios in St. Louis, leading classes, coaching dance teams and giving private instruction for serious performers with career-oriented goals.  Jenn has worked at Six Flags St. Louis since 2010 as a choreographer for their stage shows, and also does coaching, training and makeup for actors in their annual Christmas and Fright Fest productions.

Jenn is a busy woman and Launch Pointe Dance is the perfect outlet to put all that productive energy, talent and experience to work.  In addition to acting as the studio’s Director, Jenn will teach classes, coordinate and participate in special events, oversee and create choreography for students and teams at the studio and beyond.  She is also responsible for Social Media Marketing and Promotion, and with all her experience and contacts in the St. Louis dance community, Jenn is the studio’s star recruiter.

Office & Student Support

Angela is responsible for various office and administrative duties at the studio in addition to acting as a liaison and support person for students and parents. She also assists with event planning, competitions, convention registrations and class details. She is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University), and serves as an elementary School Nurse in the Fox School District.

Dance has always been an integral part of Angela’s life. She was a studio dancer herself from the age of 3 through her teens. She attended Oakville High School where she was the captain of the dance team. During her college years in Kirksville, Angela had a blast in her yearlong stint performing as NMSU’s sports team mascot. She eventually returned to Oakville High and spent 7 years coaching the dance team she had captained as a student (Fun fact: her daughter, Hannah, dances on that very same team today!)

Angela has been a proud Dance Mom herself since 2009, guiding and cheering on her daughter as she went from dance class to local and national competitions, conventions and master classes.  With all of Angela’s experience, we can’t imagine anyone better to help our students and parents understand and navigate the world of dance! Whether your child joins us just for the fun and love of dance, or if they’re on a more competitive track with professional goals on their horizons, Angela will be there to support you and your child all the way.
